After he was kidnapped title for the fastest car in the world, Bugatti
returned to media attention with a new record: the fastest convertible
in the world, a title awarded by Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse.
Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse managed to reach a top speed of 408.84 km /
h on the Ehra-Lessien circuit in Germany, where almost all models of
Volkswagen subject tests new generation. At the wheel was Anthony Liu Chinese pilot and the record has been approved by the German organization TUV.
The specimen recorded performance is a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
Vitesse series, painted in the colors orange and black, the same color
retrieved and Super Sports coupe, known until recently as the fastest
car in the world series.
Contributed to achieving the result of 8.0 liter W16 engine capable of
delivering 1,200 horsepower and a maximum torque of 1,500 Nm delivered
between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm.
To punctuate the event, will exhibit at auto home auto show in
Shanghai a unique Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, named World Record Car. Special Edition, built in a single copy may be purchased at modest price of 1.99 million euros.
