Opel has released the first official pictures and information of the new Insignia facelift. Scheduled
to debut in the fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the new model comes
with a turbo diesel engine of 140 hp with a consumption of only 3.7
l/100 km and the new gas station Turbo a power between 170 hp and 250
CP.
Opel has unveiled the new Insignia, the car being prepared for launch in autumn in Frankfurt. Besides updates to the level of the range of engines, the car features a new design and some superior equipment.
Insignia is available now for a completely new generation infotainment system. It
integrates multiple functions for smart vehicle and can be operated via
a simple and intuitive 8-inch touchpad located on the center console.
New Opel Insignia offers a choice between three alternative propulsion,
gasoline, diesel and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), with powers between
81 kW/110 hp and 239 kW/325 hp.
The new Insignia 2.0 CDTI is available in 88 kW/120 hp and 103 kW/140 CO
latter version primitand consumption of only 3.7 liters of fuel per 100
kilometers in combined.
The most efficient diesel unit is the 2.0 BiTurbo CDTI 143 kW/195 hp. High
performance diesel engine with two-stage sequential turbochargers
achieve a torque of 400 Nm and is distinguished by a very prompt
response and exceptional propulsion power for a wide range of speeds.
Most impressive are the two petrol units with direct injection turbo
powertrain: 2.0 SIDI Turbo engine with an output of 184 kW/250 hp and a
maximum torque of 400 Nm and 1.6 SIDI Turbo drive new generation, with a
power of 125 kW/170 hp and a torque of 260 Nm, and even up to 280 Nm
with overboost (SIDI = Spark Ignition Direct Injection).
Both develop exceptional power and boast a uniform running through excellence and high fuel economy. These
can be combined with a manual transmission with six gears and a Start /
Stop system and an automatic transmission with a new six-speed, low
friction. In addition to front-wheel drive version, SIDI Turbo 2.0-liter unit is also available with all-wheel drive version
